Dr. Glenn Roeder, specialist in laser gum surgery, was born in New York and came to California in the early '70's. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley.

While in college Dr. Roeder worked many interesting jobs, including orderly in a county hospital emergency room, bee ranching, and dairy farming. (Just ask him about it, he'll tell you the whole story.) After college Dr. Roeder worked as an air freight forwarder (that's like a travel agent for freight) for the giant K-Line corporation.

Finally settling down, Dr. Glenn Roeder attended USC Dental School and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1982. Immediately after, he entered the two-year residency program in periodontics, also at USC, and graduated in 1984 earning his specialty certificate in Periodontics. Dr. Roeder served in the United States Air Force Reserve dental corps for over 10 years, attaining the rank of captain. He was honorably discharged.

Dr. Roeder currently limits his practice to periodontics which is diagnosing and treating diseases of the gums, and supporting structures of the teeth. In 2004, Dr. Roeder became certified to use the MVP-7 laser for treating periodontal disease. He is now one of a small number of periodontists who use this revolutionary laser technique to treat periodontal disease, doing so without cutting or sewing the gums.
